Ground Force Charlie calls for climbers

Charlie Dimmock

Energetic TV star Charlie Dimmock is appealing for like minded people to join her this weekend as she climbs Ben Nevis to raise money for the British Epilepsy Association (BEA).

The star of hit TV gardening show Ground Force is supporting the British Epilepsy Association (BEA) in its annual fundraising trek to raise awareness of the condition which affects around 420,000 people in the UK.

She said: "Having a friend with epilepsy I can understand the need to tackle discrimination surrounding epilepsy and to bring it out into the open."

Last year the BEA raised around £25,000 from the Ben Nevis Challenge with over 100 people taking part.

  • The BEA are looking for participants of all abilities to join the climb which takes place September 14th to 16th. Anyone interested should call (0113) 210 8800.
