Disabled skiers are hoping for a frosty reception this weekend at the
launch of the UK's first indoor disabled ski club.
The new Adaptive Ski Club, based at Snozone, Milton Keynes, is open to
anyone with spinal injuries, deafness, blindness or multiple sclerosis.
Expert ski instructors and assisting 'buddies' will join Paralympic skier
Steve Napier to guide skiers down the longest real-snow piste in Britain.
Danny Anderson of supporting spinal injury charity the Back-Up Trust
says: "We hope that the event will boost confidence and give a sense
of freedom and exhilaration to anyone who may have suffered a serious
injury or disability - and it's cheaper than a skiing holiday."
The day runs from 10-4. Booking is essential. To book, call Snozone on
01908 230260 or www.snozonemk.co.uk
