Jubilee Automotive Group of Wednesbury have just launched their latest 'Drive from wheelchair' vehicle the Renault Solus and announced the on the road price of £25,995, making it the lowest priced vehicle in the UK for wheelchair drivers.
The all new Solus offers many advantages for those wishing to drive directly from their own wheelchairs and will greatly expand the opportunities for independent travel.
This latest innovation from Jubilee's in-house Design Team has produced a class leading 'flat floor' smooth approach right up to the driving position avoiding stressful and tiresome manoeuvring on steeply inclined or restrictive surfaces.
With space for up to 3 additional seated passengers and an additional wheelchair passenger position where required, this beautifully engineered vehicle also offers an amazing 55 inches of headroom for the driver with wonderful all round visibility.
Suitable for either manual or electric wheelchairs, the fully automated tailgate and wheelchair lift are operated by a simple remote control unit giving dignified access to the driving position in less than 40 seconds where the wheelchair is automatically and securely docked.
It is equipped with an economical 115dCi diesel engine and Renault's latest, Quickshift 6 automatic transmission with a simple push button electronic hand brake for ease of operation and a fully automatic wheelchair lock-down & release system.
