Calendar to help raise awareness of RGA
By Lisa Osmond I am currently the Vice Chair of The Restricted Growth Association (RGA). My family and I have been members of RGA for the last 10yrs. This year I am managing our very first Charity Calendar in order to raise awareness of restricted growth to the wider community. It has been a long process, but we are coming to the end. It was at our Convention in Bristol last year that professional photographer, Amanda Thomas (www.amango.co.uk) took over 200 photos of our members during our Saturday evening dinner and dance. Twelve photos were chosen by the committee to appear on each of the months of the calendar and other photos that made the short list will appear on the back page. I have contacted "The Galleries" shopping centre in Bristol who have agreed to let us use the centre to promote our Calendar. The promotional day is to be held on 29 September 2007 when we will be raising awareness of our Association as well as selling our Calendar and various other RGA merchandise. The local press and radio have been invited along to cover this event. The official launch of the Calendar is to be held at this year's RGA convention in Crewe in October. Following the launch you will be able to purchase the Calendar via our website www.restrictedgrowth.co.uk.
