 Unique car accessibility guidance
A new online Ricability guide provides individual factsheets with key measurements of over 170 new car models. People can use it to identify how easy, or difficult a particular car is to get in and out of and how much space there is to fit a wheelchair in the boot. Factsheets have been produced with Motability who funded this first stage of an ongoing joint project. The car measurements are now included in the monthly Motability Price Guides. Ricability, an independent national research charity, is testing a range of digital TV kit to help consumers choose the right equipment for the switch to digital television. Commissioned by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) the research is detailed and unbiased and the website free. Reports are now available on over 80 digital TV products, with a further 30 to be added in the next couple of months. This includes digital televisions, indoor aerials, set top boxes and digital TV recorders (PVRs). The website can help you find digital TV kit that's easy to use, avoid shopping disasters and also save you money; the charity's research found that one of the best indoor TV aerials is also one of the cheapest, at a tenner.
