Mayor to launch fun casino for disabled drivers
Disabled drivers and wheelchair users in Waltham Cross will be joined by the Mayor of Broxbourne, Cllr Charles Tranham, and his wife Monica, at the launch of a special Motability Casino Day being held by local Vauxhall and Chevrolet dealership PNG later this month. Motability finance specialist PNG will throw open its doors to disabled customers and members of the public at 1pm on Saturday, October 27 for the one-day event at which visitors can try their hands at Roulette, Blackjack and Texas hold 'em (poker) tables, many of which are specially adapted to enable wheelchair users to play as well as able-bodied. Prizes on offer for high rollers include free tickets to shows in Broxbourne and other prizes to be decided. John Hart, director of PNG, said: "PNG held Motability Open Days last year at our branches in Enfield and Waltham Cross, which were well attended. However, this time we want to welcome our Motability customers and disabled visitors with a day of fun and entertainment that has nothing to do with selling cars." Although the event is free, visitors are asked to book in advance by contacting Julian Butler at PNG of Waltham Cross for an invitation on tel 0800 026 1031.
