Paying for your holiday
You have decided that you want a holiday, but you don't have enough money. There are various organisations that may offer you financial assistance.
Your local Department for Work and Pensions(
www.dwp.gov.uk) may be able to help you. You may be able to take part in a holiday organised by the Department or receive financial or other assistance in making your own holiday arrangements. However, the help provided by local departments will vary from area to area and, owing to budget restrictions, financial assistance for holidays may be a low priority.
Another alternative, is to apply to a Charity, Trust or Fund. These usually require you to apply through your social worker or other professional adviser.
