Before you go - Checklist

A quick checklist to make sure you have everything before you leave on your holiday:

  • confirm your accommodation and transport

  • take a sufficient supply of medicines - it is a good idea to take a written prescription for your medicines in case of emergency

  • make sure you take your own equipment

  • have you obtained a copy of a National Key Scheme key?

  • do you have holiday and motor insurance? Make copies of these documents (to leave one at home and to take a copy with you

  • ask someone to keep an eye on your house while you are away
If travelling abroad:
  • check that you have all your necessary travel documents - passports, visas

  • is your money all in order - foreign currency, traveller's cheques?

  • do you need any special vaccinations?

  • leave a copy of your tickets, traveller's cheques, passports at home (and take a copy with you)

  • make a note of the number of your holiday insurance policy and the emergency contact number
