Maintenance and servicing

It is important that your hoist is maintained regularly to keep it in good working order.

It is recommended in the British Standard for mobile hoists that they should be serviced at regular intervals of not more than 12 months - this is also applicable for overhead hoists. Ensure that responsibility for this is established at the time of installation - especially if the funding has come from several sources.

It is advisable to keep a written record of the work that has been carried out.
