Application forms are an opportunity to sell your skills and experiences on paper. Every opportunity should be taken to detail your relevant experiences and abilities to ensure any individual looking at your application gets a good idea of your personality and work experience.

Any point made on an application form may be picked up at interview, so make sure that the information on the form is accurate and true and keep a copy of what you have written to prepare yourself for the interview.

Another consideration for your application form, will be your declaration of your disability.

If you have strong reason to believe that mentioning your disability will prevent you from being shortlisted, you can leave it off the application form, but you should mention it if offered the job. You will then have clear grounds for suing under the DDA if the offer is withdrawn.
