DisabilityCroydon require an:
Advocate (Disabled Parents)
18 hours per week
£25,000 (pro rata)
This is a 2 year fixed term contract which will end on 31/03/11.
Are you a disabled person with an in-depth understanding of the barriers faced by disabled parents?
Can you support disabled parents to access their entitlements to benefits and other essential services?
Can you help to develop a support group for disabled parents?
You will need the ability to work face to face with disabled parents and family members, and to carry out regular home visits.
You will be a problem-solver with excellent teamworking skills as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
