The Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust is based in your community and provides a broad range of mental health and substance misuse services to adults and older people and has an income in excess of £135m per annum. In 2007/08 the Trust provided services to over 15,600 people and one in four people experience mental ill-health at some point in their life. This is a time where the potential for the Trust making a real difference in your community is huge, we are looking to develop and improve services and use the freedoms offered by its new Foundation Trust status. We are looking to recruit a Non-Executive Director to our Board. You must be financially qualified but more than that, we need you to bring your knowledge and experience of the community in which you live and we particularly welcome applications from members of different groups. Our Trust serves people from a diverse range of backgrounds. You will have self-belief and confidence, a strong track-record of achievement in your professional field and have commercial experience at senior/Board level in a large organisation and a strong interest in the NHS and mental health. Remuneration will be £11,000 per annum for a minimum of 2.5 days per month.
