Environment Agency

Senior Facilities Assistant
Warrington
6-month contract
£13,700 - £15,600 pro rata + benefits

We're the leading public body responsible for protecting the environment across England and Wales. But we don't spend all our time looking after water, air and land. We make it a special priority to ensure our people have safe, well-equipped facilities to work in.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be part of a busy team undertaking a full range of support services across two sites. So, if you thrive on variety, here's some good news. You will get involved in a mixture of facilities management, procurement and administration.

Computer literate with excellent customer care and communication skills, you'll have a calm, logical approach necessary to prioritise and manage a varied workload. You'll enjoy a challenge and be a great problem solver with bags of initiative and resilience.

It's important that you have a general awareness of health and safety legislation relating to building management.

We'll build quickly on these skills and develop your ability to manage projects and control contractors.

There will also be some manual handling and lifting involved.

For more information and to apply, please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs

Alternatively, please call 01925 542224 for an application pack, or e-mail: nwrecr@environment-agency.gov.uk quoting reference IRC22602.

If you are a disabled applicant meeting the minimum criteria, we offer a guaranteed interview.

Closing date: 9 May 2008.

We are committed to making our organisation as diverse as the environment
