Asset System Management Engineer
Bodmin
£22,700 - £25,800 + benefits

Making a major contribution to improving the quality of life of communities affected by flooding is one of the most rewarding ways to use your civil engineering experience. Working as part of a driven and highly effective team you'll help reduce the impact of flooding in your local area.

Our goal is to become the asset management organisation others aspire to match and as such, we're committed to making optimum use of all our resources as we reach our targets for flood risk reduction.

You'll help us plan and develop new flood alleviation schemes, maintain and manage existing schemes and lead the provision of flood defences from inception onwards.

Developing asset management plans and performance specifications, you'll provide scheme preparation as well as undertaking enforcement activity to deliver effective asset management.

If you have a relevant degree and are nearing Chartered Status this will back up your already impressive track record in civil engineering, construction and design.

For more information and to apply please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs

Closing date: 16 May 2008.

We are committed to making our organisation as diverse as the environment
