Job Purpose Provide professional support on external funding to Environment Agency managers, staff and external stakeholders, and build strong partnerships to ensure the planning and promotion of external funding and to maintain a positive regional Environment Agency reputation for this work. Principal Accountabilities - Develop the regional external funding priorities, in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate with them, to ensure the integration of these priorities into appropriate Environment Agency plans and external policies, strategies and funding programmes. - Resolve conflicts through the business planning cycle, to support funding priorities. - Provide strategic technical and professional external funding expertise in support of internal and external stakeholders to enable the Regional Strategic Unit to deliver the right solutions for the Environment Agency in the region. - Promote a better understanding amongst external stakeholders and Environment Agency staff of the Environment Agency and its vision, including through training, and influence their work to achieve more sustainable solutions for the region. - Build strong partnerships and maintain a positive regional Environment Agency reputation for this work, and participate on relevant Regional and National Groups to represent the Environment Agency on these key issues.
