Environment Agency

Technical Support Assistant (Permitting)
£15,200 - £17,300 + benefits
Exeter

This is a chance to do something different with your administrative skills. Something that everyone in South West England - and our environment - will really benefit from.

Because our environment can't survive without water, and - in this new role within our restructured Water Permissions Team - you'll be supporting our management of water abstracted from our rivers and groundwaters, to make sure we protect our natural resources.

It's a big responsibility. And you'll hit the ground running, taking on a real range of day-to-day duties from administration of databases and file management to handling requests for data and setting up and running monitoring systems.

But what will really set you apart is the way you deal with people. Because, as well as supporting your team, during this time of change you'll have a say in how it is run and help to integrate a completely new way of working.

It's the kind of role that will stretch and shape your experience to date.

Which is probably exactly what you're looking for.

For more information and to apply please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs

Alternatively call 01925 542 224 or email southwest.recruitment@environment-agency.gov.uk for an application pack, quoting reference IRC24166.

If you are a disabled applicant meeting the minimum criteria we will guarantee you an interview.

Closing date: 23 May 2008.

We are committed to making our organisation as diverse as the environment
