Environment Agency

Part-time Technical Support Assistant (18.5 hours)
Bala
£13,700 - £15,600 (pro rata) + benefits

In the event of a flood, it's our Operations Delivery team who are there, providing essential maintenance and helping bring the situation under control. They not only respond reactively to incidents, but also have a busy works maintenance programme designed to help minimise future risks.

Flooding is the top priority in the North Wales Community Risk Register, and this hands on role gives you the chance to use your IT experience to help us minimise that risk. Drawing on your broad range of IT skills, you'll ensure that our systems are efficient and effective, as well as providing general technical support to the team.

Superb communication skills are essential, as you'll be dealing with a wide range of people right across the team on a daily basis. You'll be responsible for producing the performance reports we rely on to make decisions, so a keen eye for detail is essential, ideally combined with a good grasp of spreadsheets and databases.

This role offers you the flexibility to get the most out of life as well as your career, and offers a level of variety you'd be hard pushed to match in most full-time roles.

For more information and to apply please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs

Alternatively call 01925 542013 or email eawales.recruitment@environmentagency.gov.uk for an application pack quoting reference IRC22830.

If you are a disabled applicant meeting the minimum criteria we will guarantee you an interview.

Closing date: 14 May 2008.

We are committed to making our organisation as diverse as the environment
