CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE £14,850 - £19,884 Your role will support the Customer Service Unit, working in either the Contact Centre or in the Customer Service Centre. You will be responsible for the efficient handling of telephone, e-mail and / or face to face enquiries on a variety of Council matters, as well as initiating customer and third party contacts. Strong communication skills and a desire to exceed customer’s expectations are essential qualities required in this role, as is the need to be flexible and be able to deal appropriately with a wide variety of service situations. You should also be familiar with PC’s and have accurate keyboard skills. Previous experience of Cash handling, Council Tax, Benefits’ or Housing services is desirable. The Customer Service Unit is open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm. Various shift patterns are available and there will also be a need on occasion to work alternative shifts to cover staff absence.
