Environmental Project Manager
R
eading , Berkshire
£23,800 + benefits

The National Environmental Assessment Service (NEAS) is a key group within the Environment Agency.

They take responsibility for the impact of our own £multi-million flood risk management schemes and strategies. Faced with huge challenges such as climate change, we're now looking to build the team to support our rapidly expanding programme of projects.

It's a chance for you to join dedicated environmental project managers and technical specialists to find sustainable solutions and to create a better place for both people and wildlife.

Working c losely with specialists from across the Environment Agency, along with statutory bodies, consultants and contractors, you'll project manage the assessment of environmental risk and opportunities of our projects.

It'll be your responsibility to ensure our impact is kept to a minimum, while upholding high standards in environmental design and contributing to national and regional targets.

With a degree in a relevant discipline, your main qualification will be proven experience in a related field.

Ideally you'll be confident either writing or managing assessments, and will be a strong influencer.

Above all you'll be highly motivated to identify opportunities for enhancement, knowing the work you do will have an impact far beyond today.

For more information and to apply, please visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/jobs

Alternatively, please call 0845 601 2233 or email jobs@environment-agency.gov.uk quoting reference 14121 for an application pack.

If you are a disabled applicant meeting the minimum criteria, we offer a guaranteed interview.

Closing date: 12 June 2009.
