TGA ACHIEVES 25% INCREASE IN SALES AND SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES REVOLUTIONARY VITA MIDI 4 MOBILITY SCOOTER AT NAIDEX
The UK’s leading mobility product specialist, TGA, successfully unveiled the new dynamic Vita Midi 4 mobility scooter at Naidex National (1–3 May, Stand B50, NEC), which coincided with a 25% increase in sales compared to the 2011 event.
TGA has a proven reputation for providing the widest range of quality mobility scooters across the UK since 1985 and its market-leading customer service department recently won the prestigious BHTA Team of the Year Award 2011. The new Vita Midi 4 launched at Naidex National this year now further enhances the business’s long-standing reputation for products that consistently deliver innovation, reliability and peace of mind to all end users. It also represents a new direction in mobility scooter design as owners move towards products that look less traditional and are more aspirational in both form and function.
Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director comments: “Bearing in mind we are still unfortunately in tough economic times, Naidex National 2012 has been a highly successful event for us, possibly the best. The team here has been very busy all three days with the new, eye catching Vita Midi making such an impact. Other models in our existing range also proved popular with consumers who were keen to learn more about why the TGA brand is so successful in the UK. In particular, the Breeze range delivered intense interest from all visitors to the stand, which has been heighted by the GT model winning the BBC Top Gear extreme mobility scooter challenge in February. High level brand exposure continued at the show with our National Sales Manager, Tim Ross, being interviewed by The Guardian and appearing in the national newspaper on a TGA Supersport. Overall the show has had a buoyant atmosphere this year and it is always such a pleasure meeting many end users and being able to listen to their needs face-to-face. We intend to continue this momentum towards The Mobility Roadshow in June and beyond.”
The 4-wheel TGA Vita Midi brings to market groundbreaking developments in mobility scooter technology. Taking cutting edge styling, comfort and performance to the next level, the Vita Midi 4 now offers a compact option within the Vita family that has already proven to be a leading choice across the UK. As with all Vitas, it utilises engineering techniques from the motorcycle industry, incorporates state-of-the-art styling and has all round suspension with a revolutionary rear mono shock absorber. It provides comfort for an owner weighing up to 20 stone and has a top speed of 8mph delivered by a powerful 700w transaxle motor. As the chassis is more streamlined and the turning circle has been reduced to a mere 50”, it provides superb manoeuvrability around town and boasts a 20miles range. The new Vita Midi 4 encompasses a full lighting kit for maximum safety with tinted high visibility, long life LED lights along with indicators – all of which use less battery power and hence improve efficiency. The deluxe orthopaedic seat and enhanced LCD tiller are both fully adjustable so optimum ergonomics are achieved for every user along with easier access on and off the scooter.
