Not sure if it's ok or not to put this thread up but I thought I say as it is General Discussion after all I guess.

I am a proud British European!
Not sure if it is allowed, but then neither is war films on Santamas Day, lol!
I have an account, but no idea what my details are or how to share them. I do not use it, it is too silly, it has no substance or content, just a veneer of superficiality.

You can have more than one account?

Technically, probably not, but I didn't know that when I made the second. I know of other people who have them for pets etc though so I don't think it's any big dealI suspect I should probably have got a page instead, but I'm now very clued up on the intricacies and workings of FB as I'm relatively used to it. I resisted for years, until everyone left livejournal and myspace and then I gave in since I like to be ~in the loop~ with what's going on etc

I see, I think. I got too many invites from daft people, too much Spam.

Yes, a lot of people say that. I just ignore those sort of invites and stuff![]()
Am I suppose to be on FB? I mean, do I need it? I seem to have survived without it, am I missing out on something? I have enough time dealing with all I have now, reading & posting here, dealing with a few emails, posting on a couple of other sites, running & posting on a couple of Yahoo groups. Plus, if I do get involved in starting a new forum that will take some of my time. I am not sure how much work FB takes, & in return what the benefits are. I do not begrudge the time I spend posting on the sites I do & managing the groups I do, as I feel there is some benefit to that, for me, & hopefully others.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I have trouble keeping up and inevitably tend to let some things slip. I don't have time to read all the posts here, or anywhere else. I like pics though and FB is good for thatPlus, until recently we were socially very active on the music scene and I like to know that all those friends and aquaintances are ok and out there busily living their lives. I guess that if you don't already have 'friends' or contacts who have FB accounts then it wouldn't be worth the extra effort.
