Looks like motability have discovered their error as the Starting price is now £2399 for the SE and the X lines are all £2999. So the 1 series is looking better value than an X1 and hopefully your MINI is looking better value too.

Hi does anybody know if the x1 on motability is the new facelifted model? The pictures on the motability are of the old preface lift model. Also does anybody know if there will be any new cars in the new list next month? im considering waiting to see but im worried the x1 might not be on there next time.

There are numerous facelifted models. If you are after a 20d model they have an output of 184hp rather than the 177 of the outgoing model so can be identified on the list. I would expect to see at least as many X1's next quarter as the number has already grown, as has the number of 1 series and the prices have remained fairly constant. As always its a gamble wether to order now or wait. Good luck, perhaps you can post here what you have ordered in due course.

Thanks for the reply i was looking at the 20d m sport model, just checked again and you are right its now listed as 184bhp rather than the old 177bhp so that must be the facelift, didn't realize they updated the website between quarters! , i used to have the 1 series but had my DLA stopped which was a nightmare and have just recently it back on appeal so looking to order again now!

The x1 wasn't available last time i ordered the 1 series. always feel a bit uncomfortable going into bmw especially when you hear of so many people that say we should not be allowed to get brand new bmw's i feel like everybody will think im greedy, but the way i try to look at is, i have a disability and im entitled to it so why shouldn't i enjoy it given the chance? you only live once! Last time i orderd i actualy kept putting it off because i was so axcious about going in and asking for a new bmw but when i was introduced to the motability rep he was so nice and friendly.

You SHOULD feel uncomfortable driving a BMW, not because the Daily mail says so, but because that company took away thousands of British workers jobs and threw them on the scrap heap.
Do German Taxpayers pay your DLA? or is it the BRITISH taxpayer that pays it? the same taxpayers that this nasty scummy company put on the dole and stole the design and development work done by those British taxpayers?
By getting those cars on the Motability scheme, you are slapping the faces of those who pay your DLA, whilst filling the pockets of those who took British jobs away.
As for entitlement, you are only "Entitled" to waht the Government representing the British taxpayers let you have. Why not move to Germany and see how well those you want to give our money to treat you.

Those of you who get these cars on the scheme over cars that keep British workers in jobs should feel ashemed, not brag about your damned BMW rubbish!

Yes, i am very passionate about this, as I had many friends thrown onto the scrapo heap both at Rover and the supplier companies and I too was affected with my job being lost.

Its about time those of you who are privaleged to get the HRMC (and that does include me!) thought about your actions.

I would make only those vehicles with British manufacturing input available on the scheme, as We taxpayers pay these costs with our livelyhoods and lives.

You should order whatever you wish. I have found BMW very easy and pleasant to deal with and have not chosen a 1 series because of the badge, but because it meets my needs and was the best car to drive of those I tested, and the most economical too. I was going for an SE but when the M sport became available in Q2 with its better spec went for that. I assume you want a manual 20d M sport as its only the 18d thats available as an M sport auto?
Motability update the car list on an almost daily basis

Your opinion Warkman, but BMW employes workers in this country as well,so people can order car any car they want. Nissan are Japanese, yet you don't have a problem with them do you? Yes, Nissan have a factory in the uk which builds certain models, but the profits still go to a Japanese firm. Times have changed, most car companies build cars from abroad, so I don't have a problem with it. If they only had manufactures from Britain on the scheme, it would make the fleet far to restrictive. Stop winging about people wanting to get BMW's on the scheme, it is their choice at the end of the day.

    Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me here - I went to order my new BMW x1 car last week at my local garage and they explained to me that I couldn't have a particular X1 what was on the list due to it being superceded - they advised that tehy don't stock this model anymore and weren't sure that Motability would be putting the new car on the list - the car I went for was the X1 m sport - I notice after reading this thread there is the X1 xline - I will go for that version if the x1 m sport xdrive (new or old shape can't be ordered).

One last question - am I able to order the new car now even if its the new model as I know it doesn't come out to July but I would prefer to order it now instead of waiting longer again.

    Thanks for reading this.
