iv always worked but april last year i had to have a total hip replacement, and had to go on the sick, i was recieving esa, then when i went to surgeon this week, my other hip is ridled with arthritis, and goin to operate asap, then after all this, i got a letter of esa to say, i was no longer on,and signed me off against my surgeon wishes, i am appealing against this decission, but left with nothing to live on

what you have to do ASAP is appeal and at the same time put in another fit note, you will then get assesment rate till appeal is heard

download and send this form in now http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/gl24dwp.pdf

put on it you will send more info when you get if you do supporting letter from dr at hospital

You may also want to look into getting DLA & other related benefits. Also Housing & Council, Tax Benefits. I would as I always do, advise you to get some help from a local organisation, such as the CAB. Not sure if you can get DLA, depends on your abilities & needs, but you can consider it if you have limited mobility &/or need help at home or when going out. Even if you are not getting that help, that is not the point.

You can re-claim ESA as your other hip needs to be operated on. A copy of the surgeon's letter confirming the need for the second operation would be usefull to send with the new ESA claim along with your new sick note.
