    IB assessment due September, 2011?

    Hi to All,

My question is a fairly simple one but I am having problems trying to find a similiar post. I am on IB and DLA (HRM & MRC). My last medical for IB was just over 2 years ago, afterwhich I received notification that my next assessment maybe in September, 2011 (this year).

My question therefore is, am I likely to be assessed for ESA before this date or do I simply have to wait for September, 2011, when I expect to receive IB50 and await thereafter?

Any answers are greatly appreciated and any further advice would be welcomed.

This is similar to questions i have asked, when the transfers start they should or may, be done based on your review date, but as i keep being told and finding out , no dates are definite, also the dwp/atos are behind with their plans, so your review date maybe delayed. I think, that the thing you need to know is , that in September, or perhaps later, you will be sent an esa50 and assessed under the new rules for transfer to esa, or, failing that job seekers allowance.I must add that i am only a questioner like you are, not an advisor.

I expect others will give you links to the planned changes, although if you will excuse the pun, they may be changed, many details are on other threads on here, Regards Jan

Hi saintjanet, Many thanks for your prompt reply. From the information that you have given it would seem that I at least have 'til September to gather whatever evidence I hope deemed necessary to assist me in the completion of either the esa50 or ib50, whichever it may be.

I would be glad though to receive a definitive answer to my query, as I am sure many in our position would!

Again many thanks, and any further replies gratefully received.

It may be that when your IB assessment is due you are assessed under ESA instead. However as DWP is giving out conflicting information, at this stage, timescales cannot be confirmed.

From what I am reading regarding review dates it seems the the date given for review this would be the earliest you would be re-assessed, and quite possibly even later than the specified date.
