    Group holidays

I'm trying to do things that will make me happy as that's proving very difficult at the moment. If i'm busy doing something new or that I enjoy I can kind of deal with things. I'd like to go on one of those group holidays, you know like when people go backpacking round America or something with a group of people they've never met before, you do it through organisations. Well I'd like to do something like that, but I'm not sure about it because of my disability. I'm blind and although that doesn't present massive access issues there are concerns, like guiding and how the group view my disability, willingness to help etc. Is there an organisation any of you know of that is very good as far as this kind of thing is concerned?

Good for you. Up until 8 years ago I used to use a group activity holiday company called 'Solos Holidays'. They are escorted holidays for single people and offer different types of holiday by age group.

They were the best holidays I've ever been on. You'll find that the escort will cater for your needs and I'm sure other holiday members will assist - that's what I found.

Thanks so much for the help, that's great! I'll definitely check all those out. I really want to make sure I keep myself busy during the summer holidays from school as that's when it's most difficult as I have nothing to do!

Yes Sky, you can have escorts. You can enjoy such a holiday, & feel safe. Yes, being bored tends to concentrate the mind.
