My wife loves her wheelchair and has asked me if I could convert it to electric and yet controlled by herself instead of me .Any one know if this is possible as the only power conversions I have seen are operated by the carer.

They all seem rather expensive. I've seen some powered wheelchairs that have two batteries but you can pull them apart and put them in the hatchback.
