    Just a quick update.

I'm back home now, no ambulance service transport so the hospital paid for a taxi. (£100+ journey).

It was a gallbladder infection that had cleared itself, so they gave me 3 doses of intravenous penicilin to make sure, checked the bloods this morning and sent me home with a box of codeine in case it flares up again.

No operation needed (for now, maybe never) so that's good news.
I'm intelligent enough to know that I don't know everything.
But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Very good news indeed. Pleased you are home and that transport was arranged for you regardless of expense.
    Now look after yourself.

LOL. Sat in pub, just got my second pint in.

Well I had to come and update everyone, before "reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated".

Biggest bu**er was having to throw out a lot of perishable food that had been sat there since xmas day.
Lovely pork shoulder joint that I had only had 5 slices off for example, it was in the fridge but I'm not taking any chances with food at the moment, especially not 5 day old pork.
Maybe the high load of penicilin would have seen off any bacteria but I'm not that stupid.

Tonight is the aniversary of my Cardiac Arrest. Doesn't a year go by quickly these days?

I was dead for 20 minutes and brought back to life, so I'm calling it my 'Zombie Birthday', and having a few drinks to celebrate.
(Because it was a large electric shock that brought me back I had thought about Frankenstien Birthday, but Zombie sounds cooler these days).

Just to update, everything with the heart is fine, and the gallbladder hasn't given so much as a twinge.

Happy zombie birthday. I wasn't around here this time last year, I was on a large sabbatical let's say.
I had no idea this even happened.
I'm glad you're better now mate.
