Ok so in 2009, 491,348 people died*.
The UK Population is roughly 62,300,000** which equates to a 0.8% death rate.
The 8000 people [who died] apparently represent just 1% of all claiming ESA = 800,000 people (1.2% of population claim ESA)
Therefore those claiming ESA are 1.25 times more likely to die (1% claiming ESA compared to 0.8% in Population).
Lets see what other stupid stats people can report on or you could take it as, people who have disabilities are more likely to die than the fit and healthy - would you believe it!
