Letter from DWP re changing from IB to ESA

    Hello,

Looking for some assistance if possible, my Dad has been on Incapacity Benefit for a number of years and has received a letter advising that his benefit will be changing.

The letter also advises that they do not have a telephone number for him and that he needs to call within the next seven day - to "talk about how this change will effect him and answer any questions he may have"

My Dad is worried about what they will ask on the call - can any one offer any pointers

The letter then advises that after the call he well receive a questionnaire called limited capability for work to complete.

If anyone can offer any advice on what he needs to be aware of before calling it would be much appreciated

    Thanks.

you do NOT have to give them a telephone number people they cant contact by telephone will get an esa50 form through the post just the same as people they talk with ....... he will have 4 weeks to fill in the form from that they might contact his dr call him for a medical or make a decsion without doing so he could be found fit for work or put in one of the 2 not fit for works the group everyone wants to get in and the one everyone well 99% think they should be in is the support group and depending on any other pensions or if his IB is IR or CB it makes a differance here is a link to the form they will send
