As a husband to a wife with a physical impairment and a student of design I am all too familiar with the gross inadequacy of accessibility in public spaces and even within our homes. The number of specific areas to which efforts can be applied to make meaningful changes to improve the lives of those who live with physical impairments is vast and so I am seeking the opinions of this community to find out what changes you would prioritise as being most critical. What changes or improvements can be made in the shortest time, using the least resources to produce the greatest results? If we can't possibly address every issue, then which issues should we address first? For example, should we focus on education and information or should we focus on product and technological solutions? Please share your views. Thank you.![]()
