Bare in mind giving advice on such things is not a prefect science, & you need to seek medical advice right away. it sounds like you may have lymphoedema. If so there can be options for treatment. You can also ask your GP to refer you to the Orthotics Dept for fitting of shoes for your feet. You can have this done whether you have lymphoedema or something else. It does need investigating as it can be many things & many causes. So push your doctor on this, to refer you to a specialist.

I've some objections on Stepheninleeds but I'm not going to share it. Actually, it can be considered disgusting.
Well, derekgsw! don't try to move your swollen foot or giving it heat. The massage of ice can work but not

Stephen actually offers good advice. My doctor advised me to both walk on my swollen foot and rest it too, but as Stephen says, it needs investigating and does need investigating if it is still swollen.

Again, as Stephen says, see your doctor again and tell them you are not happy with their lack of help.
