    I had seen that.

Such a simple block says to me that this was done by unsophisticated hackers, using 'off the shelf' tools with a bit of clever modification.
They probably never expected it to have the effect it did.

A more experienced hacker would not have been blocked so easily.

The technique this lot used would not have been successful if people had taken heed of the warnings an updated their security definitions.

As I say they probably expected to be 99.9% unsuccessful and are now cacking themselves waiting for the knock on the door.

I expect to see more attacks using these leaked NSA tools, hopefully everyone has learned the lesson about keeping up to date.

Like the article in the last post says - the warnings were out there, so why didn't you install the security updates?

I'm intelligent enough to know that I don't know everything.
But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

In the case of the NHS, the computers on XP had no security updates because support has stopped, MS wanted 5.5 million to provide, J Hunt declined to pay..........................Own goal.

Only because of adverse publicity if they did nothing............and it does not alter the fact that they initially wanted payment and Hunt refused.....

Had a phone call from my Doctor's asking me to go in and find out about the bone density results. So I'm guessing that their IT system is up and running. Dreading the results around my lower back - I think the discs have had it!
