    Car build times - Payments

    Hi,

We've been wondering what happens to PIP payments when waiting for a mobility car?
We like the look of the ford kuga ST line but it looks like it comes with a 6 month wait currently, would we continue to receive PIP payments in between?
Also is the AP payable on purchase or delivery?

    Thank you

PIP will continue to be received in cash until you take delivery of the car. The AP can be payable upon order, delivery or a combination which will depend upon the dealer. Some ask for a deposit when an order is placed particularly if options are specified. These build times are becoming a bit crazy, I was quoted 27 weeks by a SEAT dealer. Industry norm is 12-16 weeks

    That's great, thank you.
We had planned to wait until June 2018 before even looking at cars, with xmas soon & holidays booked the extra money will come in handy for now. Especially when the car we currently have is fine for now (just way to small for our needs), insurance & tax have all been payed in full, so we don't have any car outgoings other then petrol.
If the build times are accurate then we'd be better ordering straight after xmas.

I wasn't aware of that, thank you.
I'd better get some test drives booked in!
