I think the biggest problem with any disability claim is that it is so difficult for people to be totally objective about their own limitations. I hear so many say 'oh yes I can do that...' but when we dig a bit deeper they can't do X without adapting and making allowances.
That is why so many claims fail, and so many people who should get - for example DLA - don't get it. And that is also why having help from an advisor can make the difference. It can be a tough thing to face, and upsetting for many claimants, but the end results can be worth it.

Fair point Dave. I was not sure what I should get the first time, but I knew I should get more then the nothing I got, lol. We do always feel as though we are on trial having to prove something we cannot prove before a jury who have the noose in their hands & are waving it at us.

I think that is what most do Carn, once they realise that is the best way to go. If we are honest there is nothing more we can do.

I agree and because if you have had a long term problem, to you, it is the norm and in order to get through the day you have to convince yourself that the suffering is ok and put it out your mind.
So when we are asked about our situation it's hard to see it from an able bodied persons perspective and we don't want to be reminded of something we are trying to ignore.
