Second PIP/ESA Commons Select Committee next Wed.

This sits next Wednesday, 6th at 9.30am, live on BBC Parliament. Representatives from Atos, Maximus and Capita will be quizzed. No mention of a DWP minister being present so not sure if they'll have a third sitting.

Ah... but will they ask any decent questions? Or the usual MP drivel that doesn’t actually mean anything?

Select Committee enquiry questions are usually pretty searching/probing.

Many a politician/representative is show to be uninformed/cluless/making things up during a SC enquiry.

It's the written answers that later come back from the government that tend to be drivel, until they are pushed to give a 'real' answer.

It can be a long process, but it usually gets there in the end.

No guarantee it'll actually be live on BBC Parliament by the way as there are several committees sitting at that time on Wed. so depends which the Beeb chooses to show live.

You can usually find a link on the W&P Committee webpage for a live online broadcast.

Sometimes though it's not live and you have to wait for the recording.

Okay folks it's not live on TV as according to the Freeview guide BBC Parliament have opted for the Exiting Brexit committee on Wed. morning instead. Maybe shown a few days later though.

It’s ironic to see people being slimy and avoiding answering direct questions, when the people asking the questions are generally the ones expected to be slimy and evasive lol.

What a load of tosh, the only plus side I saw was the recommendation for all assessments to be recorded (that’s what I got from it anyway)

I was disappointed that I couldn't follow it as I'm deaf and there were no subtitles available on the website which showed it. I am sure that nothing constructive was available in the answers, though I do have a lot of respect for Frank Field.

There will be a transcript published on the Committee Website, it usually takes about 5 days to be written up and posted.

You will find it on this page when it is posted. It's not showing yet, the 22 Nov evidence session transcript is there though.
    http://www.parliament.uk/business/co.../publications/
Also on that page you can find a lot the written evidence that has been submitted by individuals, charities, and even the assessment companies.

Direct Download 22 Nov. evidence session transcript

The next evidence session is Monday 11 December at 3:45 PM.
This will be the turn of the disibility advice organisations to give evidence- Scope, Sense, Mencap, CAB, etc.
I assume this will also be broadcast, but the parliament TV guide only goes up to Friday.
