    ESA50 and ATOS

Following from a couple of posts here has left me curious.
Both posts seem to indicate that atos review the esa50 forms and not the DWP themselves. It has been my understanding that the DWP have their own personel who assess claims, such as the DLA who have DM's. I understand that the DWP will use atos to carry out medical examinations and that the DWP will send them a copy of the esa50 for their reference but are we saying that atos are responsible for the whole assessment process including the esa50 form???

One hates to reply to own post BUT...............
Just to show that you should use the search here before posting.
Atos does process esa50 and produces a esa85 report if you've had a medical and a esa85a if you haven't.
Now that beggers the question does an esa85a mean you are clearly eligible for esa or clearly not??????
Both reports can be requested if you have a querry as to what has been written about you.
