    Benefit advice for household

    Hi,
I would really appreciate some help with this as I can't seem to find the information I need.
I currently receive housing benefit, incapacity benefit and pension credit and live alone. I get by and can look after myself mostly but need my son to come and help me with housework and things like that, I can do most things but really struggle and they cause a lot of pain at times.
My son and his girlfriend need to move out of their flat at the end of next month and as my son visits every day with an hour round trip it would make sense if they moved or nearby. My son earns under 13k and his girlfriend is unemployed (but not getting benefits) and she wants to start a business soon it'll be an ebay business or something like that so not a big earner.

I'd like to know what benefits I will lose if they were to move in, as I can barely cope as it is (this winter I've had to make choices at times to have heating/ lighting or food and its been really distressing).
I assume it'll be better if they don't move in with me, as they wouldn't be able to pay the whole rent if that gets taken from me. I'd just like a bit of an idea so we can just rule it out if its totally unviable.

    Thanks for any help

They will only affect your rent and council tax rebate from housing benefit.

You don't say if you get DLA care or how much?

If you DO get DLA care any rate then your son will not affect any Housing Benefit but could affect your Pension Credit.

If you do NOT get any DLA care, then on your sons gross pay £250 a week, he would have to pay 38 a week to your rent and £4.60 a week to your council tax. But will not affect Pension Credit.

If you get DLA care middle/high rate, you currently get an extra £53.65 a week on your pension credit called a severe disability premium. You will lose this if your son moves in but he would not have to pay towards your rent or council tax.
