I am a carer for my fiance who suffers with an enduring mental illness (schizophrenia) and also suffers with chronic plantar fasciitis and scoliosis of the lumbar region of the back. and other feet issues. We just had a letter come about incapacity benefit which my partner recieves and has done since 1995, and that its going to change to ESA. We have been told to wait for a phone call and then a quesionairre about her disabilites.
I contacted mind and a man said he will help us fill in the quesionairre. I am also worried about what will happen to my C arers Allowance when they change DLA to PIP, will I still get carers if my fiance gets PIP on the low or high rate pip. So many changes it worrying my fiance so much.
She is not able to work due to the nature of her illness, and even the phyciatrist says she is very vunerable with people and easily lead. Any advice will be greatly recieved. Thanks
