The facts given in this article have been mentioned in many different places, yet it seems that few condems or labour party mp's are willing to speak up, with any great passion on the subject, people must be fed up of hearing this, but the facts are that every party wants some or all of these changes implemented, perhaps with some of the harsher elements changed, but no one is shouting very loudly about it!!

It seems the guardian and a couple of other papers, show an interest and concern about what is happening. The daily mirror mentions the changes on a regular basis, but i have yet to see them criticise the one year entitlement plans, it's as if it is not thought as important as people on 40 odd grand ,loosing child benefit, as i have said many times on other threads, it makes one wonder if labour would have implemented this i year entitlement too. i found this on the citizens advice website

    The work-focused health-related assessment
The government has suspended the work-focused health-related assessment until July 2012.

When the work-focused health-related assessment applies again, you will only have to do it if you are in the work-related activity group.

This test collects additional information about the things that you can do despite your condition. This is different from the other two tests which focused on the things you cannot do.

The work-focused health-related assessment looks at difficulties you are likely to experience in getting and staying in work as a result of your mental or physical condition. It also looks at ways of managing these difficulties or minimising them. It takes into account your views on your condition and any aspirations you have.

Chris, i have looked at this on the citizens advice website and the date is the interesting part, i can't tell what they mean either, could it be simply that the changed format will start then? wish i had time to look in more detail, will try later, when i get chance, unless someone can give an answer, it may have been mentioned before as i'm sure i saw it somewhere.

Just a thought but you may be better raising a thread concerning this particular question, if you don't get an answer, as people may miss it on this one, Jan

ah thanks that clears it up somewhat thank you. it still a shambles though if you get placed in the work group u still gotta attend things and you can even get home visits if it endangers your health going to the meeting, (correct me if im wrong if you been found fit for work shouldnt you be fit to travel to meeting rather than have a home visit,

Chris, i agree with your thoughts on this, the link is probably what i had seen too, memory must be going!! it is easy to get confused the way they keep changing things on a regular basis. Jan
