    Been put on support group but no dates on letter ?

    hiya great news just been put on esa support group, from incapacity and income support, i get £216.86 every 2 weeks but from 23rd august i get esa and its £112.13 per week so that means i,l be getting £224.26 every 2 weeks BUT IV READ MY LETTER AND THERE ARE NO TO AND FROM DATES ON THE LETTER ,
    i thought you wer put in support group for a period of time and then re assessed ?, it just says i get my esa from 23rd august , but no other dates ????? so dont know how long iv been put on it for

    nothing you have posted gives any clue to re test date why not call and ask them ?

    hiya dave iv read the letter again and again and just found at the end of the letter it says i will get £112.13 every week from 23rd august 2012 to 28th november 2012 does this mean im only on ESA for 3 months ? thanks

    right the november date is nothing to do with your award depending when in the year an award is made a date is needed in a box for the computer to print your letter many people have that date on the letter and when they contact DWP find they have a 12 18 or two year award of ESA

    call dwp they will tell you how long award is for and dont worry if they have no idea what the november date means they often dont

    thanks dave you are a star !! i only posted my form on 20th july to the manchester office so its 2 weeks to the day for me to get my result,
    when i ring them monday do i ring the number on my letter i got ?

    cant understand what the contribution and income related esa i am entitled to means , !!it says im entitled to both , talk about confusing !! especially with the meds im taking ...haha 1

    god knows which number is correct try them all

    contribution esa is based on NI payments made when you was working before you got sick

    Income related comes next or stright away if you have not made enough NI payments

    to get income related esa your householdincome has to be low as have savings .... also if you have a partner working and earning x amount or you have savings then you wont get IR ESA you need to seek expert advise with regards to rights on getting IR Esa its too complex for a forum

    some say more than £16,000 in savings or a partner working more than 24 hours in a week stops IR ESA but you need advise to be sure what your postion is

    and as you say some people get a bit of each

    hi i havent worked since 1992 ish !! then went on benefits since then after accident at work, im single , and only on benefits and top rate dla both mobility and care , so must e getting a bit of each ? i didnt think id have any NI payments left ?

    it would be those they are counting, think how some people have been on ib esa CB for years they are old records...its only now they have brought in 12 month limit
