TOP SECRET - Apple Iphone 5 - 12 September announcement

It's not the same now Steve Jobs passed away. There was never any leaks about possible launch dates for new or revised products when he was alive.

It seems like something is going to happen on 12 September. Possibly a glimpse of a new iphone5 being launched in America or will Apple launch a new TV I wonder?

    Place your bets . . .

I think it will be the release of iOS 6 with the iPhone 5 coming in November

    Technology moves so quickly.

I'm still using Panther on my Imac - I bought Snow Leopard ages ago but haven't installed it. I think OS.6 Mountain Lion will be compatible with my intel imac but perhaps my 3G iphone wouldn't be able to access icloud.

I wonder if I could still use my 24 inch imac as a screen linked to a new mac mini then boot up from the mac mini for photoshop.

Food for thought or put on ice.

new generation of mobile communication - 4G launching 11September

I've just read today that the new generation of mobile communication that will allow us to access the internet at blistering speeds while on the move is almost here - it's called 4G.

You'll be able to stream-audio regardless of our location, to make better use of 'cloud' services and send hefty email attachments.

The Apple Ipad was sold on the UK with the 4G moniker

Orange and T-Mobile merged to form Everything Everywhere in 2010 and it's the only company launching 4G this year on 11 September.

Apple's new Iphone5 will be announced the day after with sales starting a month later.

So whatever you do don't buy a smartphone or tablet unless it will be able to run the fast 4G services.

I'm still using a Power PC with 10.4! Works fine, except for iPlayer, which is jerky.
Why buy a new Mac? the Intel one should work with 10.6 or any later release, as well as Photoshop, no?

You're right there's nothing wrong with the Imac - it's a delight to use and beautiful to look at. Boots up from scratch to operational in 45 seconds - try doing that with a PC. LOL

I intend to upgrade my iphone 3 to the latest when they come on sale - I'm not a newbie to Apple as I've only ever used their products for decades - I started out with the SE in '87 - I worked in the creative industries.

I will back up and upgrade the system software - it's cheaper.

I know this won't be interesting to most people but I want to make a prediction about the stock market.

If I could I'd dabble in the Stock market but I don't have the cash and I'm too cautious - not a gambler.

Well Apple officially launched the iphone5 on Friday - to date they're got pre-orders to the tune of over 5 million phones over the weekend. On Friday the share price reached $700 - it's now $690.

It seems to me like share holders act like lemmings and withdraw on massif they think shares will collapse.

Here we go - I'll predict shares will open for Apple on Monday 29 September between $740-$760. So if you want to make 10% profit in less than a week buy now.

I've never studied the Stock market but I believe this company make great products. I'm a paper speculator - it's cheaper.

PS Watch out for the new mini-ipad coming out before xmas - in my opinion

Everyone is panicking on the stockmarket as shares have plumented to $664 today Wednesday 26 September.

The lemmings have lost their nerve - sell, sell, sell.

Stay calm and hold onto your hats - this will be a roller coaster until markets rocket on 29 September
