NEXT STAGE Public Bill Committee Call For Evidence On Welfare Reform Bill-PLEASE READ

    Hi All,

After the second reading of the welfare reform bill and all it contains and AFTER it passed its second reading hurdle, I have just come across the next stage as I understand it, it is to go before the Public Bill Committee SCRUTINY UNIT.

I cannot post or paste the full details but I urge, nay beg you to type into google:

'call for evidence on welfare reform bill yes ministers blog'

and this should produce the link as google does, to the 'yes ministers blog' whcih is the website detailing how you can contact the SCRUTINY UNIT Public Bill Committee, who are asking for people to submit their views on various aspects of the welfare reform bill in particular replacing DLA with PIP, time limiting of contribution based ESA and other aspects.

On the above page on the 'yes ministers blog' website there is a full explanation as to what they are after and links on that page to help submit your opinion and comments. As many people as possible should take 5 minutes to follow the above actions as this is the next stage in getting our point across against a number of aspects of the bill.

I am not too sure if this has been posted elsewhere as it has only just been published by Dr Floyd Millen of The Public Bill Committee, who I would think 'scrutinise' the bill as a whole taking into account all evidence submitted.

This certainly sounds like the next step we should be taking in raising total awareness as to what is happening to us at Work Capability Assessments and the opportunity to inform them that DLA is fit for purpose and not to change with PIP.

I will try and type the full details of that website here but i cannot make any promises. Please have a look and submit your views.

This is another stage of either getting the bill passed in its present form (which will be the end for all of us) or OUR CHANCE to put across our views to those people that matter and more importantly, the people that can do something about it!

Lets be honest about this Labour took little notice of people writing in they ignored us, and still do, the Tories will do what they want to do no matter what.

Does it make any difference writing in nope I do not think so, should we be writing in yes I suspect we should.

I have an appointment with my MP this afternoon

I feel some of the MPs did make our points however I am still very confused as to what happened with the vote... did they reel off a load of concerns and bring up a lot of good points in the debate but ignore them when It came to the VOTE!!! the most important part ?

No matter what happens I will be able to tell myself at least I did something .......YES your right treborc we should all make the effort if we can....

Good Luck this afternoon...My MP is chief of staff to Nick Clegg, he has sent my letter to Ms Harrington.. I received a bog standard reply and has forward my letter to Chris Grayling.. TWICE I still have not heard from him...

I've actually had a meeting In London to discuss my concerns about welfare, with a number of MP's and one minister, I left feeling why bother.

But I actually had all my home work done, I asked a question how many people work within Government, did you know that government has 580,000 people working for it, how many disabled people do you think are employed 1.5% the lowest within the public sector.

The sad fact this is not about getting us back to work, it's about getting us all onto a much lower benefit
