Ray what's the question - but make sure it's clean as you're addressing a filthy shower in here.

I see Lighttouch has a sense of humour, I will keep it clean, I had a shower fitted by social services about 5 years ago and now it has developed a fault, do I have to contact social services for it to be repaired or do I contact a independant shower service fitter?

Thanks in advance for any help. Ray

Contact SS as it is technically theirs. They should be responsible for any repairs.

You must contact the Social services to get permission to go out to repair, it could be the councils own service department will come out to have a look, it will be out of guarantee now.

Got my bathroom converted to a wetroom and had a stairlift put in courtesy of the Disabled Facilities Grant two years ago and am told by my council that come september when the two year guarentee/free maintenance is up the cost of maintenance falls on me.

We are challenging that so can't say much more, however, was told I could apply for new apparatus after five years.

A disabled facilities grant is to the person, making the equipment theirs, if SS put it in then it belongs to them.
