I need a mobility scooter but can't afford one. Do i get any help from anywhere? I am on Income Support and lowest DLA, care component.
I have just had re-assessment for DLA. Took 4 months but found worth sticking with it. Have been awarded DLA Mobility component at the higher rate, whilst Care component has stayed the same. My new Scooter due in about 10 days! Cant wait. Could be worth getting a professional to fight your corner? Perhaps social worker or someone at your gp surgery. Strongly advise giving it a go.
