If you can contact me by PM Maurice I will tell you about another site which IMHO is miles better. ( see how quickly this gets deleted!!)

    Hi Mossy

I've just seen your thread regarding this. I assure you that I haven't reported any of your posts myself and I don't know who did but I do know that this forum, like many other forums, does have a "Report Post" facility whereby a member may report a post, or posts, that he or she is unhappy with. It is then for the forum moderators to decide if the post breaks the "rules" and should be deleted so perhaps you should take it up with DLF directly? Incidentally I believe the other forum being alluded to also has this "report" function (which is quite standard) and there too, on occasion, posts are deleted by moderators. To my knowledge very few posts have been deleted since YA reopened but I suspect it's highly unlikely that you'll find ANY well run forum where posts or threads are not deleted or moved from time to time. It certainly happened on the old YA board too!

So in conclusion I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy here but I would encourage you to stay regardless of whether you also decide to go elsewhere. I'm also not in the business of "poaching" or dissuading anyone from joining any forum, or forums, they wish, however what I would say is that the grass is by no means always greener elsewhere and I speak from personal experience in that regard!

All the best whatever you decide.

    Kind regards

    Mr B

Well, Ouch is mentioned as a link on the 'thank you' thread, so it must be ok to give links.

The one where a lot of previous YA'ers are is:

    http://grahaml.proboards.com/index.cgi?

But, I'm sure there are also many other 'disability sites' where there is more posting etc.,

DLF has updated its 'Answers to common questions' thread which gives further information on some of the questions raised in this thread. Please see http://www.youreable.com/forums/show...mmon-questions for more information.

This thread is now being locked by the moderators as it is off topic for the benefits forum. We have not deleted the thread (although strictly speaking it breaks our forum policy as it is off topic) as we feel it will address some issues that users have raised.
