    Mirtazapin and Zopiclone

Good evening to all - my friend takes 60mg of Paroxetine/Seroxat in the morning and 45mg of Mirtazapin in the evening - unfortunately over the past 6 months or so he has only been getting (at best) between 2 - 4 hrs sleep a day and so his GP has also prescribed him 3.75mg of Zopliclone in the hope he can start getting a decent amount of sleep.

Do any of you also take a similar combo of medication and if so what are your experiences?

    Many thanks.

I was recently proscribed Zopliclone 7.5mg because my psychosis returned. I know that it should only be taken sort term because you become dependent on it and won't be able to sleep without it. I only needed it for 4 nights until my increase of my antipyschotic kicked in. I think long term sleeping aids you should look at Melatonin because its more natural.

I take both, although i take two doses of 7.5 Zopiclone at night.
When I first started the Mirtazepine a few years ago, it knocked me out cold for a couple of weeks until my body became used to it.

I had to get the doctor to prescribe me the Zoplicone when my insomnia came back with a vengeance and it seems to work however, I am dreading when he takes me of it.
