    Done It !!

Done all my birthday and Christmas shopping for next year. Saved 50%, a fortune, on what I would have spent in the future. No worries about having to find gifts during next year now.

Even better & cheaper for me, I don't do birthday or Christmas presents at all.

That's all well and good but there is no way I could ignore my children and grandchildren.

Whilst I respect your decision to participate in the over commercialism of Christmas please respect my decision not to.

That is why I shop in the sales. Coming up to Christmas items are vastly overpriced and I refuse to pay that price and much prefer to pay the realistic price, hence the very early shopping. I do not over buy, just a token gift for the very few I get presents for. I never go overboard.
If you choose not to participate in giving gifts then that is your prerogative , I meant no offence.

I wish I could do that but I always buy clothes for my younger grandchildren and they are growing so quick I can't guess what size they will be this time next year.I do try and put £2 a week away to try and make it easier when I do have to buy presents.I think everyone has their own way of doing Christmas.

Each to their own, but I never really see the point of buying Christmas presents a year in advance, I remember you did it last year too.

But when you get it so early, things can go out of style or favour, and the person you buy it for could buy something similar or the same item during the course of a year. And of course, people can change sizes, especially children.

Most of what I got my family this year was things they liked and thought of this year, last year they wouldn't have wanted them or even thought about them.
