    Getting Older?

A first for me today not sure how to take it.

I got on a crowded bus and a teenage lad offered me his seat.

Guess I must be looking older, maybe time to shave the beard off.
I'm intelligent enough to know that I don't know everything.
But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

Not necessarily, some teenagers do have manners, possibly the majority. He was showing respect. I hope you thanked him

Yes, I thanked him but declined.

I knew there would be people getting off at the hospital about 1-1/2 miles and 3 stops further on.
As it was I only had to stand for one stop until a few people got off.

As you say most teenagers are courteous and quick to give up their seats for females and the elderly, maybe not so quick for males.
It was just the first time it has ever happened to me and took me a bit by surprise.

I have had help from the most unlikely looking teenagers on public transport many times. I am always truly grateful
