    Strange thins happening @ DWP

Its been a rather strange week can anyone tell me what a payment for 61.96 from EESA not ESA is for and whats the extra E on ESA for?

I can't comment on the payment, it's an odd amount at current payment rates.
(Maybe a backpayment from something when the rates were different?)

"EESA" on your bank statements is a good laugh when you know. - It's a spelling mistake that they made when ESA first came out.

The reply to an FoI from 2013 says:
I can confirm that the EESA classification on your partner's bank statement does
represent Employment Support Allowance (ESA). The additional 'E' is superfluous and
    does not mean anything.
This was due to a misalignment of data during the final stages
in the payment issuing process when payments of ESA by Automated Credit Transfer
    were introduced.

I appreciate that this may be confusing and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

A further FOI response, from April 2015, said:
....the issue which is causing the EESA reference
on bank statements has been identified, and we are now starting the process
of engaging with suppliers to provide a resolution.

It has still not been corrected, typical quick action by the DWP.

I think that I'll fire off another FoI asking about when they are going to correct it, I'm in a devilish mood this morning.

I'm intelligent enough to know that I don't know everything.
But I'm good at searching for, and finding, stuff.

    Already posted on whatdotheyknow.com

BTW That's not good internet security, anyone interested could now find my name from linking this post to the FoI request.
Always asuming that I have used my real name at whatdotheyknow, you don't need to use your real name just a name that sounds like it could be real.

We all use shortened names to refer to others.
    Everyone knows who we mean.

Ah Got it now, Taken from http://definitionmeaning.com/Governmental/eesa

    What does EESA mean?

This page is all about the meaning, abbreviation and acronym of EESA explaining the definition or meaning and giving useful information of similar terms.

EESA Stands For : Energy Efficiency Standards Act

I think its just a typo nowt else
