Hi there merlin777

Whilst we don't make recommendations, we do advise would be buyers to look for companies that are members of a recognised trade organisation. One associated with many disability products is the British Healthcare Trade Association (BHTA). You will see details of some made to measure seating in the report below. Trade organisation mmbership is included under 'supplier standards'

Our factsheet on chairs is undergoing revision at the moment, but you can access the Assist Ireland version, which is pretty much identical except for the contact details, via the link below.

It might be an idea to get some quotes from several suppliers before purchasing and it would also be useful to ask about the guarantee period, servicing costs and the expected lifetime of the chair.

We hope you find a satisfactory chair.

Thanks for the advice. I asked my OT who they use and she named 2 companies. One is caller 'Recliners' and they seem ok at the moment. Not getting any hassle or hard sell from them.
